Approximately 70 faculty members from a wide cross section of the campus benefited from two Critical/Creative Thinking Workshops on Effective Learning and Teaching Strategies, from November 3 to 10, 2004 at the administration conference room.

Alec Fisher, renowned Philosopher and Mathematician from the University of East Anglia facilitated the workshops. Fisher is a distinguished researcher and trainer in critical thinking who has extensive experience in managing Critical Thinking Workshops and programmes in Britain, Europe, North America, Africa and other parts of the world.
Fisher was invited to conduct two other sessions in November. Fisher presented several thinking maps to assist participants and their students to structure and sharpen their creative thinking skills.
