Over the years theatre has changed tremendously, and if it wasn't for these five people, things would probably be a lot different. If you look at all my experience in music and theatre in my past, it seems only natural that I go into the Musical Theatre Department at Sam Houston State University.
SHSU's Musical Theatre Dept is considered, by Kennedy Center, to be one of the top four in the Nation, and I was rewarded one of only 11 open slots into this amazing program. I will be doing an essay on African American theater history. I know that it has been around for hundreds of years and when you are done reading this essay, I hope you have learned a lot.
